Courage is more than fighting dragons. It is about being honest, forgiving, hopeful, serene, loyal, kind – and a whole lot more. Courage is about being true to yourself and having integrity when other people pressure you to abandon your values.
This is an important message, made attractive to kids by the presence of a dragon in the design. Kids love dragons almost as much as they love dinosaurs, and adults love them even more. You can never go wrong with a dragon design. This one is just scary enough for kids, while having an elegant curve that adults will find intriguing.
The back has a quotation by Maya Angelou that supports the message of the front: “Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.”
The design comes in metallic gold ink on Black or Maroon T-shirt in adult sizes or Black and Red in youth sizes.
The gold is not foil, but the metallic ink does have a nice shimmer to it, as you can see in the close-up picture.
As a reference, my model is a 60-pound 8-year-old. The black T-shirt is a kid’s S 6-8.
Note: The design is really too big for an XS (2-4) kid’s shirt. For that size, I recommend our Illumine My Heart or our interfaith World Citizen shirts.
See our main T-shirt page for sizing information.
