Back by popular demand, our Crown of Virtues crowns are back in a new format!
Kids love these paper crowns, printed on heavy gold foil cardstock, and the message of human nobility is one we all need to hear. We were created noble by God, and what makes us noble are the virtues that we express, like honesty, kindness, happiness, love and helpfulness. Those are the names for the five gem-like stars that circle this spiritual diadem.
Kids in crowns turns any gathering into a celebration.
These can be used as craft projects for children’s classes, using glitter glue and plastic gems. The glitter glue comes in lots of colors and is available lots of places, but the right sized gems are harder to find, so I’m offering a pack of 8 crowns with a sheet of forty 9mm self-adhesive gems that are the perfect size to go in the middle of each star. Forty is enough for each of the five stars on eight crowns. The gems require a little bit of dexterity to apply, so you may want to help kids under ten. The gems are not intended for use by preschoolers.
At the 50 price, they can be given out at family fairs and festivals. They assemble quickly to be given to passing children. The message is such an important one, and will resonate with children and parents alike.
Unlike our original crowns that came in a long strip, these are cleverly designed to fold into a crown from a single 8×10 sheet of gold cardstock. No tape is needed for the standard size, which fits most kids.
The crown is cut and scored so that when you fold it in half to make a ring, a small section folds in, and a tab slides into a slot to hold it in place. No scissors or tape needed. (see pictures)
For the smallest children, simply cut off the section that would fold down, and slide the tabs into one of the inner slots. Two pieces of tape will help stabilize the crown in this smaller size. The crown will fit most school-aged kids without any adjustment, as the 20″ circumference will work well for them. The 20″ size will also fit some small adults. For smaller kids, slots are set for 18″ & 19″, with half-sizes also an option.
*You can get glitter glue at crafts stores. Water-based markers or crayons will not stick to the metallic paper or glossy white ink, but glitter glue and permanent markers will stick to both. The gems we offer are clear with a holographic backing that makes them sparkle. They can be tinted with permanent marker colors.

We had a Baha’i booth at a local fair. The crowns were a big hit. The only issue is the size. Even at the largest size they only fit small children’s heads. We find that older kids, teens and even adults would like to wear them. Our community would buy even more if you had them in larger sizes —that said we appreciate that you brought them back after the company no longer made them.

These crowns will be a big hit at the Chino Valley. AZ Harvest Fest! We anticipate 50 children will stop at our table to learn about Virtues and put gems on their crowns. We did this two years ago, and it was very popular. A great way to connect with kids of all ages!

I used the original design of these crowns about 10 or 15 years ago and the kids LOVED them! Then they were no longer available for purchase on this site so I created my own for some events. That was a lot of work! I’m so happy that they’re available on BahaiResources again! And the new design is ingenious. (Although I’m having a hard time hooking the tab on the side. But I’ll figure it out.)
