This beautiful and convenient 2-year Interfaith Calendar is a quick reference guide to the major holy days of seven different religions. It makes a great gift for anyone interested in how other religions celebrate during the year. It is priced so you can give them to all of your friends. Don’t forget to give one to your boss or HR person too.
The theme of this year’s calendar is Transformation, with butterflies being the perfect symbol of this spiritual process.
At the top of the 2026 side is a monarch butterfly with a quotation from Reinhold Niebuhr that says “Change is the essence of life; be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become.”
The 2027 side is another butterfly, but this one is yellow on white petals on a black background. It says “The butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness and still become something beautiful.” I was hesitant to include a quotation without an attribution, but I could find none, and it was voted the favorite phrase in our online poll.
Its two sides cover both 2026 and 2027. Major religious holidays are marked in color-coded circles, secular UN and special days are marked in white circles with green borders and US Federal holidays are marked in squares. There is a list of the names of the fifty marked holidays (also color-coded) down the right-hand side. While it doesn’t include every holiday or every religion’s, it packs a lot of information into an affordable and easy-to-understand package.
TWO NOTES: We’ve added more religious holidays while removing some of the UN holidays compared to our previous calendar. We also discovered that the dates for some of the holidays are in question, with different websites giving different dates – usually within a day or so of each other. This is possible because some dates are calculated astronomically, and therefore can differ based on the location at which the equinox, for example, takes place. If the date is critical to you, check before showing up at an event.
