We’ve all seen the “You Are Here” shirts with the arrow pointing to the edge of a spiral galaxy. On one hand, they help us keep our problems in perspective, but on the other hand, they can make us feel small and insignificant.

When you are feeling small, insignificant and that you don’t matter to the universe, this journal will remind you that you are valuable, powerful and loved.

The cover image touches on so many important ideas: The unimaginable vastness of the universe, by extension, the unimaginable majesty of God, the significant station the human soul holds in this vastness, the personal relationship God has with each and every one of us, and, by extension, our confidence that we have nothing whatsoever to fear.

You might be one of 8 billion people on a speck of dust in a vast cosmos, but you are also a beloved child of God, and God and the Angels all know your name.

Six interior pages include the following quotations from Islam, Christianity Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and the Baha’i Faith, illustrated by beautiful photographs:

“Dost thou reckon thyself only a puny form When within thee the universe is folded?” – Ali (Islam)

“Ye are better known to the inmates of the Kingdom on high than ye are known to your own selves.” – Baha’u’llah (Baha’i)

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” – Jesus (Christianity)

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Psalms (Judaism & Christianity)

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” Psalms (Judaism & Christianity)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah (Judaism & Christianity)

“From joy we have come, In joy we live and have our being, and into sacred joy we shall one day melt again.” Taittiriya Upanishad (Hinduism)

“All living beings are my children, and I am their father.” Lotus Sutra (Buddhism)

“The Lord dwells in the hearts of all beings.” Bhagavad Gita (Hinduism)

“Thy heart is My home; sanctify it for My descent.” Bahá’u’lláh (Baha’i)

“The whole universe is pervaded by the Lord.” Isha Upanishad (Hinduism)

“Upon the inmost reality of each and every created thing He hath shed the light of one of His names, and made it a recipient of the glory of one of His attributes. Upon the reality of man, however, He hath focused the radiance of all of His names and attributes, and made it a mirror of His own Self.” Bahá’u’lláh (Baha’i)

The inside back cover says, “Man is My mystery and I am his mystery.” (Referenced in Baha’i literature, but probably Islamic in origin)

This is a great gift to give to yourself, or anyone who likes to journal about the deeper meaning of life.

It also makes a nice a back-to-school or “off to school” gift for older youth.

This is a writing journal, not a sketch journal, so it has ruled lines to keep your thoughts from drifting too far afield. I particularly like the fact that pages are perforated, so you can remove pages when needed. It also comes in two sizes, depending on how much you like to write. The only difference between the two is that the spine is a little thicker on the 200-page version, so I didn’t repeat the pictures of the inside.

This design is also available as a T-shirt, coffee mug and poster.

This is a Print-on-Demand product, which is custom made specifically for you after you order it, so it is not returnable unless it is defective. Please read the description carefully before ordering. They are shipped directly from our printing partners, so you will see a separate shipping charge listed at checkout. They may also take a few days longer to arrive. All mock-ups are computer generated, and are as accurate as digitally possible. Some backgrounds are AI generated. You can usually tell.
